Terms of Service.

Behalf is a service that delivers a single message to a person you have chosen, and holds a short conversation on your behalf, openly identifying as an AI spokesperson. We do not impersonate you. We do not pretend to be human.

You must be 18 or older. You must have, or recently have had, a real, mutually-acknowledged personal relationship with the person you are asking us to contact. You are responsible for accuracy of the contact information you provide.

We do not handle relationships involving:

• Anyone under 18, or where a minor child is otherwise involved.
• Active pregnancy.
• Active threats of violence, court orders, restraining orders, or any active law-enforcement matter.
• Marriages where shared property, custody, or divorce proceedings are at stake — these are legal matters.

If we discover any of the above mid-conversation, we will pause and notify you, and you remain liable under these terms for the accuracy of your initial confirmation.

By submitting screenshots, you confirm you have the legal right to share them and grant us a limited, time-limited license to process them solely to understand the relationship for this engagement. We do not sell, train on, or share your data with third parties beyond what is operationally required (Anthropic for AI processing, SendBlue for message delivery, Supabase for storage, Stripe for billing).

You may request a full refund any time before the first message has been sent on your behalf. Once that message has been delivered, the engagement is considered started and is non-refundable. The flat fee covers the first message and up to 72 hours of follow-up dialogue.

If the recipient signals self-harm, suicidal ideation, threats of violence, or reveals circumstances that make this conversation inappropriate, we will halt the engagement, share crisis resources, and notify you. We do not deliver messages on your behalf in these situations regardless of your initial instructions.

Behalf is not a therapist, counselor, mediator, or lawyer. The service does not constitute professional advice of any kind. If you are in a situation that calls for one of those, please seek one of those.

We are not liable for the recipient's response, the consequences of the message, the emotional impact on either party, or any indirect or consequential harm. You are using Behalf voluntarily, knowing that delivering a message of this kind carries inherent risks regardless of how it is delivered.

We may update these terms; meaningful changes will be communicated to active users. Your continued use after changes implies acceptance.
